You’ll pedal past dramatic silo art, discover the eclectic murals of Benalla, and ride through rolling vineyards in the scenic King Valley—home to some of the region’s best cellar doors and gourmet experiences. Wildlife lovers will enjoy the peaceful paths through Winton Wetlands, while history buffs can trace the legacy of Ned Kelly through Glenrowan and Greta.
Whether you're a seasoned rider or just discovering the joys of cycling, this fully supported tour allows you to ride at your own pace—hop on the bus anytime for a break—and enjoy an unforgettable mix of landscape, stories, and shared adventure.
Itinerary

Settle into Wangaratta (main base for the tour) and check into your accommodation. Meet your guides and fellow riders, and enjoy a relaxed welcome dinner at the Gateway Restaurant and Bar.

Breakfast in Wangaratta, then transfer to Tungamah to begin the Silo Art Trail, viewing silo masterpieces and the ‘Sophia’ mural in Goorambat. Lunch at Goorambat Railway Hotel, followed by a guided walk of Benalla’s street art. Cycle through Winton Wetlands, with an optional visit to Baileys of Glenrowan Winery before returning via Glenrowan and the Ned Kelly Discovery Hub.

Bus to Glenrowan. Cylce past Lizio’s Prickly Pear orchard and Greta Cemetery (Ned Kelly & family graves). Continue to Brookfield Maze & Garden Café for morning tea, lunch at Chrismont Winery with valley views, then end with a ride to Cheshunt and a visit to Mountain View Hotel, Whitfield, before returning to Wangaratta.

Transfer to Beechworth for a rail trail descent to Everton, visit Milawa Cheese Company, lunch at Henley’s Wine Bar in Milawa, then call in at Gehrig’s Wines cellar door before cycling back to Wangaratta to finish the tour.

Three nights’ accommodation at the Luxurious award winning Quality Hotel Gateway Wangaratta
$1,590 per person twin share basis inclusive; single supplement an extra $330.
All day bus support while you ride. The bus is there for rider respite. You are free to cycle all of the tour, or only parts of the day’s cycling route.
On days 2,3, and 4 a full breakfast is included in your accommodation at Quality Hotel Gateway. Morning tea, lunch (picnic style or at a quality restaurant) and afternoon tea / coffee(s) and tasty treats along the way are all included.
A team dinner is included on our first night together.
Free-of-charge snack bars, fruit, hydrolyte tablets, magnesium tablets, salt tablets during the tour.
Sunscreen, water, spare bike tubes & first aid supplies.
We will carry all your extra apparel so you can ride as lightly as possible.
Spare E-Bikes in case your bike breaks down.

Trail Surface
Ninety five percent of our riding will be on sealed quiet country roads or finely packed gravel.

Moderate fitness. However, we understand many of our clients are time-poor and may not have had much time for cycle training. That’s why we’ve crafted these cycling tours to suit you. E-bikes are available for hire to help flatten out those hills!

We run our tours most of the year. We avoid extreme heat—we don’t want you out on the trail in 42-degree weather.

It’s important you have insurance cover for ambulance services.
